"DEHEXAN" is a series of devices designed to teach family members of 18 plus in workshops how to better understand dementia patients by experiencing the dementia symptoms through simulations. It recognises the frustration, isolation and barriers to engaging with the community of care givers when looking after a loved one with dementia.
The playfulness and colours of “Dehexan” attempt to create an environment where the experience reflections and conversations take place with joy, engaging and reconnecting with the community.
The rising number of people with dementia in the UK and the probable lack of carers due to Brexit will have consequences. It is most likely people are going to take care of their own family member.
